Funny Bon Voyage Trip

email: Use of Brothers in Arms Black Templars lists of email

Here is another mail I received and in which David asks if he can make juice to the brothers in arms of our codex.

Greetings! First of all I wanted to congratulate you on your blog, possibly one of the most useful I've found throughout my life. My name is David, I have 26 years and having followed the hobby for a long time based on White Dwarf's, Codex's, I finally decided to take the big step. Although he knew it "obsolete" that the Black Templars were compared to other chapters, please dust off the old codex of the Crusaders, they certainly think they are the most loyal to the Emperor chapter. When I started buying miniatures I realized that despite having the rules and codex, I had no idea how to do a fairly competent army without feeling ridiculous ... which was found last Saturday with my first game and first loss unfortunately, limited material that was me playing with a lot of infantry and one rhino (which made me appreciate how important it is Otor rhino / razorback in my army) . Therefore I would like to ask you a question I have something haunted, sure as you say in your blog, Brothers in Arms are very expensive compared to our other units, however, does not look viable in any way their ability to infiltrate to be left in reserve and flank at 2 ยบ or 3-second turn for a sort of "ambush" where most needed?. It sounds fantastic, but I think the Brothers of Arms miniatures are worthy of display in a Black Templar army and I think that's the most significant value that can be used with them. I hope you can tell me about your opinion on this, and sorry that my questions have that bit of beginner, but this newcomer has a long way become quarterback.

Regards!

First of all say that the only dumb question is one that never asks. So I told my teachers in college and is something I've been very clear throughout my life. The question does not sound like a beginner at all and is something that was turning to head in recent days to see how they could make an army of flanking our Templars and take advantage many of the best models that we have and thanks to the FAQs is now more possible than before.

Before, we could have a codex obsolete and uncompetitive, but thanks to the new FAQs our army gains a lot and now has a multitude of different lists and all them very competitive.

Unfortunately I have not profiled flank but the list because I found the problem that the units can flank or support that flanking and not let them score in our lines in reserve would be unprotected and suffer too much during the first innings.

Brothers in arms as I comment on this entry play with great disadvantage in quality / cost ratio with the rest of our elite. But this does not mean very specific lists with a clear strategy has its place.

A squad of command Helbrech (10 + 5 neophytes started) to rule infiltrators and furious assault, his apothecary (now gives no pain), sergeant, veteran and bearer (with standard chapter) and 2 M, two teams of brothers in arms of 9 (two blades, power weapon, storm shield and piercing shells) with infiltration, a squad of 5 and 2 thermistor auctioneers crossed lines of 10 + 5 neophytes (fist / fusion) could be a list decent at 1750 points. I need to adjust and sharpen it a bit to open an entrance to the prototype list. As soon as the blog has the mount;).

The idea is to deploy a similar list on bookings or to flank or (if there is enough scenery) deploy hidden near the enemy's squadron commanders and comrades in arms ( 33 thumbnails) to stall the enemy while our thermistor deployment for rapid deployment arrive there that do more missing and cross our brackets are covered as they can and endure the rain until the elite of our military do its job.

The list would not be bad list but for the price of the brothers in arms could get thermistor 15 auctioneers that would give more headaches to the enemy. Branch could play and even get a competitive list. But we must be clear that it would be far less competitive than one at the same points with assault Terminators: P. Of course, this list in a display of shock and mission patrols annihilation does negate much damage as the enemy if we give ourselves deployment minis to deploy and gives very little points of annihilation and all very hard to get.

Hope that resolved the doubts about the brothers in arms. Anyway this weekend I will see if I can get at least a couple of lists with this squad as the main focus of the list and get on the blog.

Greetings
